Sensors indicate… Nothing. No galaxies. No stars.

Eighty… billion… years ago the Universe receded. And I kept going. 

The ever expanding Universe receded? 

Ah. The Big Crunch. Shoot.

Options…  Turn the ship around, re-enter stasis… fly straight into a new Big Bang? 

Nope. 

The past, behind, is destroyed. Ahead, the future is unmade. 

Keep going.
